About

Pocket Dusk started as a group chat where a few of us kept sending each other links to weird little mobile games nobody was talking about. At some point the chat got too big and we decided to turn the habit into a proper site. Everything here comes from hands-on play, not from a marketing kit.

We cover the whole spectrum: RPGs, strategy, racing, arcade, adventure, the odd card game. If something only works on a tiny screen with a thumb, that's exactly what we want to write about. We're not chasing the biggest releases either; a game with ten thousand downloads gets the same attention as one with ten million.

Picking what to review is simple and a little stubborn. One of us plays a title for at least a few hours, usually longer, and only then do we decide if it's worth a full write-up. Half-finished impressions don't go live. If a game bores us by hour two, we say so plainly.

The team is small and stays small on purpose. Nobody here is paid by developers, and we pay for the games we don't get for free. That's the whole arrangement, and we'd like to keep it that way.
