Neon Drift Circuit

★★★★☆ 4.1 Editor rating

Neon Drift Circuit is pure arcade joy. There's no pretense of realism — you tilt or tap to steer, hold a corner to drift, and chain those drifts into a speed boost. The tracks loop through neon cities and canyon highways, and the sense of speed is dialed up just enough to feel exciting without becoming unreadable. The tilt controls surprised me. I usually switch those off, but here they're smooth and forgiving, with a tap option for anyone who prefers buttons. Car handling differs enough between vehicles that unlocking a new one actually changes how you drive. It's a game of short bursts. Races last a couple of minutes, which is perfect for a phone, and the ghost-time system gives you something to chase. The soundtrack leans heavily on synths and I was fully here for it.
